Bio

Natureza Gabriel is an ancestral neuroscience pioneer, entrepreneur, and author. For thirty years he has studied the intersections of neurophysiology, mindful awareness, and Indigenous Lifeways, mentored by world-leading experts in the art and science of connection and wellbeing, and Indigenous Elders from many lineages and cultures. In the summer of 2024 his company, Hearth Science, announced a breakthrough foundation model in living autonomic physiology: Autonomics, which rewrites the neural cartography of the living autonomic nervous system, the biological system with the deepest shaping force on our moment-to-moment experience of wellbeing.

Gabriel is the Founder of Hearth Science, the principal architect of the Autonomic Compass, an autonomically-informed self-healing platform, and the author of ten books about the art and science of connection, including The Neurobiology of Connection, Keywords: A Field Guide to the Missing Words, Restorative Practices of Wellbeing, So, About that Death Cult you Joined? Essays Unmasking Empire in Modernity, and the forthcoming Hearth Science: Phenomenology of an Embodied Neuroscience.

His work has been requested by the UN, NATO, Fortune 500 companies, global social and ecological movements, elite executive coaching and leadership development firms, and indigenous tribal leaders. He ran the global Polyvagal Study group on Facebook, a group of 5,000 wellness professionals studying Polyvagal Theory. He has led over 2,500 trainings internationally. He lives in Northern California with his family, where he stewards an eco-reserve.
