Bio

Natureza Gabriel (Gabriel Kram) is an ancestral neuroscience pioneer, author, inventor, and entrepreneur. For thirty years he has studied the intersections of neurophysiology, mindful awareness, and Indigenous Lifeways, mentored by world-leading experts in the art and science of connection and wellbeing, and Indigenous Elders from many lineages and cultures. In the summer of 2024 his company, Hearth Science, announced a breakthrough foundation model in living autonomic physiology: Autonomics, which rewrites the neural cartography of the living autonomic nervous system, the biological system with the deepest shaping force on our moment-to-moment experience of wellbeing.

Gabriel is the Founder of Hearth Science, where he runs the Autonomics Innovation Lab. He is the principal architect of the Autonomic Compass, an autonomically-informed self-healing platform, and the author of a dozen books about the art and science of connection, including The Neurobiology of Connection, which Rick Hanson, PhD (one of the world’s leading experts in self-directed neuroplasticity), was kind enough to call, “A masterpiece.” He is author of Keywords: A Field Guide to the Missing Words, Restorative Practices of Wellbeing, So, About that Death Cult you Joined? Essays Unmasking Empire in Modernity, the forthcoming Ground: How Modernity Disconnected from the Earth, Why it Matters & What to Do About It (available for preorder), and Restoring Human Nature: A Relational Neuro Ontology of the Ancestral Future (available for preorder), a collaboration with award-winning trans-disciplinary psychology researcher Darcia Narvaez, PhD, Developer of the Evolved Nest. Gabriel wrote and art directed the Official Polyvagal Posters with Stephen Porges, PhD, Developer of the Polyvagal Theory.

His work has been requested by the UN, NATO, Fortune 500 companies, global social and ecological movements, elite executive coaching and leadership development firms, and indigenous tribal leaders. He ran the global Polyvagal Study group on Facebook, a group of 5,000 wellness professionals studying Polyvagal Theory.

He has led over 2,500 trainings internationally and consults for a curated selection of clinics on autonomically-complex neurological cases.

He lives in Northern California with his family, where he stewards an eco-reserve.
